Mercedes Benz to Launch GLE Coupe in India on Jan 12


BENGALURU: Mercedes is all set to announce its next new addition, the GLE Coupe, to its family of cars in India. The car maker will soon also announce its breaking sales for the year of 2015 and will be launching its SUV Coupe on January 12, 2016, reports CarDekho.

GLE Coupe is renamed as ML-Class for Indian users and it will be a rival to BMW X6 SUC Coupe. The car will come as a CBU import from the company’s Tuscaloosa factory in America. The SUV Coupe will be powered by a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 petrol motor also enhanced by the AMG boffins. It is capable of producing 362 PS of power and 520 Nm of peak Torque.

The engine will come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and will feature an all-wheel drive type, courtesy of Merc’s 4MATIC system. The crossover coupe is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 5.6 seconds. The GLE Coupe is also available in a range-topping 577 PS AMG GLE 63 S Coupe variant for the international markets.
