Delhi Hotel Named Among Asia's Best

New Delhi:The Taj Palace Hotel is in the fifth spot in a list of best city hotels of Asia 2013.

The list has been compiled as part of the Travel + Leisure World's Best Service Survey-2013, which features hotels, resorts, airlines, and cruise lines that have earned top scores for service. The rankings are based on the magazine's reader's votes.

Officials at the Taj Palace Hotel are delighted.

"We are delighted to be a part of this prestigious award survey that recognizes highest standards of service quality and excellence throughout the world," Taljinder Singh, General Manager, Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi said in a statement.

The best city hotels of Asia 2013 category was topped by Hong Kong's The Peninsula, followed by The Peninsula (Bangkok), The Peninsula (Shanghai) and Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok rounding up the top five.

In another category, focusing on the best resorts in Asia, Udaipur’s Oberoi Udaivilas secured the second position, while Jaipur’s Oberoi Rajvilas bagged the fourth spot.

Also, Oberoi Udaivilas stood third in the Top 10 Hotels Overall: Resorts, Inns, and Lodges category.
