Car of the Week: Tata Aria


Bangalore: Coming from one of the most trusted automobile brands of India, Tata Aria was launched in the Indian markets on October, 2010. Labeled as a crossover SUV, it has gained recognition mainly because of its multi-functional performance and great styling coupled with its upmarket comfort quotient.

Tata Aria integrates the features of an MPV, Sedan and an SUV.

Performance:

Tata Aria is equipped with a 2197cc, 2.2L Dicor diesel engine that already enjoys a ‘powerful’ reputation among other engines. With 4 cylinders, Aria generates a power of 140Pascal at 4000rpm and a torque of 320Nm at 1700-2700rpm. Aria has a CRDi fuel supply system.

Powered with an automatic transmission, it can be altered with its five speed gear box. Its independent double wish bone suspension provides the comfort Aria is well known for.

Fuel Economy:

Its Dicor diesel engine is reported to give a mileage of 10.2Kmpl on city roads and 14.5Kmpl on the highways. Its 65 liters fuel tank capacity allows you to go on long adventures rides anytime of the day.
