8 Amazing Restaurants That Opened In India 2015

Lavaash by Saby, Delhi

An initiative of Chef Saby and Chef Megha Kohli, this 2015 establishment sets an Armenian culture with insights of Bengal food. The Armenian community lived in Asansol for over 200years.  Chef Saby originates from this community. Thus his attempt was to make the Armeninan cuisine a luxury experience with appetisers, small plates, main course and dessert. As of now, the liquor and sangria collection is limited,  and Saby is planning to extend it in near future. Along with gastronomic pleasures, a lot of attention has been paid to the decors of Lavaash that you will notice once you walk in. Stylish in approach, spacious in size, colorful by looks and vibrant to the eyes, this place has high ceilings,  a courtyard with natural trees setting a greenery and also house to a multitude of birds. The use of terracotta crockery is another attempt to continue the Armeninan adaptations all through.

The Fatty Bao, Mumbai

The Pan Asian gastro pub of Namma Bengaluru landed up in Mumbai this year and is now counted amongst the exciting launches of 2015. The décor is indeed fresh and funky with a splash of colors, toy-like furniture, wall paints comprising life size pandas, sceneries and more. The area is split into two with a wide dining place for intimate family or friends time and a mini bar plot. The menu is jostled with a lot of sandwiches, sauces, caramels, stir-fries, woks and curries. Do not think twice to bug the whole out of the friendly Bao crew for a memorable food experience.
