6. Tata Safari Storme

After keeping the world waiting for a really long time, Tata Safari Storme is finally getting launched this diwali. Some of the noticeable changes are the new grill, projector headlamps, and the bonnet. The twin exhausts are now chrome-tipped and the new tailgate and aerodynamic spoilers gives Safari an all new rear styling. There will be new interiors with leather wrapped steering wheel, chrome highlighted gear knob and a dashboard having a wooden finish.

The best part about the new Safari is its huge spacing both in the front and back rows. It is endowed with a powerful 2.2L 16-valve common rail engine that will generate 140 PS power and about 320 Nm torque. It is expected to be priced less than the Mahindra XUV thus it can cost anywhere in between 8 to 13 Lakhs.

5. Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton

It is not Tata alone that is launching a new car in the SUV segment, Mahindra too has geared up with the launch of its all new Ssangyong Rexton W in India on October 17th, 2012. The new Rexton gets new projector headlamps having LED surrounds and LED fog lamps. Its powerful four cylinder common rail engine generates massive power of 152bhp and 367Nm of torque.

Rexton W is providing both manual and automatic transmission options and is all set to compete with the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and others and is priced in the range of 19- 25 lakhs.
