Larry Ellison
Larry Ellison is Executive Chairman of Oracle Corporation and Chief Technology Officer. He was CEO of Oracle from 1977, when he founded the company, until September 2014. He is an avid adventurer who races sailboats, flies planes, and plays tennis and guitar.
He also is a licensed pilot and when in 2012 Ellison purchased the island of Lanai, Hawaii's sixth-largest island, from David Murdock of Dole Foods; it wasn’t much of a surprise. The insland is an 88,000-acre paradise equipped with two Four Seasons resorts, two golf courses and a stable.
