Vijay Sigh, Rajputana Custom Motorcycles

Based in Jaipur, Rajputana Custom Motorcycles is among the top custom-bike builders of the country. Their bikes look amazing, like something taken from a Hollywood movie. Showcasing his first build “Original Gangster” at the Auto Expo-2010, Vijay Singh Ajairajpura has since not looked back. With 21 models to offer on order, the company also modifies existing bikes. To top that off, John Abraham was their first customer, who ordered a vintage American Board Track Racer styled black beauty. Vijay names each build with unique names such as Aghori, Light Foot, 8 Ball (my personal favorite), Rajmata to name a few.

Akshai Varde, Vardenchi Motorcycles

Akshai quit his job in the airlines industry in 2005 in feat of his passion and set up Vardenchi Motorcycles. Interestingly, he didn’t earn any profit for his first build, but he realized a massive potential for custom-bikes. Started with just 2 lakhs out of savings, Akshai has today transformed his company with turn-over touching 1 crore. The company keeps RE as the base and plays cosmetically, often without disturbing the chassis, front suspension and electrical parts to ensure a rider can savour the RE flavor. The engine is not re-worked at all, which means that engine warranty is retained and servicing can be availed at RE service centers.
