Volkswagen Ameo

Ameo is the new competitor in the Volkswagen’s compact sedan segment. It is said to be similar to the Polo hatchback with more boot capacity. Well, Volkswagen Ameo easily impresses with its elegant design and posh looks. Some features remain same as Polo and other features are either modified or newly added as in case of rear AC vents, C pillars and many more. Talking about the engine, Ameo uses 1.2-litre TSI petrol motor making 105bhp / 175Nm and the 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 105bhp / 250Nm respectively.  The beginning price of the sedan is expected to be around Rs 6 Lakh, and is set to be launched in India in June 2016.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS

Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS comes with a hatchback and is provided with 6 speed automatic transmission, 1-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine and is launched in India in the month of May at the 2016 Auto Expo. This engine produces about 110PS of power and about 170Nm of torque. The compact Baleno RS includes features like reverse camera, automatic climate control and 7-inch touch screen SmartPlay entertainment system with Apple CarPlay. The biggest trump card of Baleno RS is Boosterjet engine and it competes with its arch rival Volkswagen Polo GT TSI.
