2. The Half Dome:
Made of granite, the Half Dome is at the eastern end of the Yosemite Valley in Yosemite National Park, California. Rising nearly 5,000 feet above Yosemite Valley, Half Dome is a Yosemite icon and poses a great challenge to many hikers. The 16-mile round trip hike to the Dome is not meant for the weak hearted, and it takes real effort and courage to make it to the summit. But many say that reward is worth the painstaking effort.
