Setting records at ease, Earhart was the first American woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. However, in 1937 Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan vanished over the central Pacific Ocean. Several conspiracies were put forward by the investigators such as both flew into overcast skies and rain showers that resulted in the crashing, ran out of fuel, captured by Japanese forces, and many more.  But none of them were strong enough to prove her disappearance in the mid-flight. Famous men such as Elgen Long, Capt. Laurance Safford, Roya Nesbit and others spend their time with the investigation but none were successful.

For her incredible achievements in her short aviation career, Earhart received prestigious honors from the United States for her exceptional achievement.
