10 Limited-Edition Cars in India
7 Volkswagen Vento and Polo IPL editions
It is somewhat like a tradition in the history of the German car maker Volkswagen to appear on every special occasion with an all new special edition of their popular sedans, Volkswagen Vento and Volkswagen Polo.
This time it is the popular sport event, IPL season that prompts the car maker company to come up with the limited edition cars. In order to grab the attention of the sporty car-lover population, Volkswagen launched the Volkswagen Vento IPL Edition and the Volkswagen Polo IPL Edition, however, being available in the Trendline and Highline trims of both the vehicles only.
Inspired by receiving good response from the previous season last year, Volkswagen continued to offer the same limited editions of their models this season also and the company exhibited both these new limited editions at the IPL matches.
But this year, Volkswagen also offered a cricket kit along with these special editions, which came with a logo of Indian Premium League on their body and doors along with leatherette seats inside the cabin and these extra accessories didnt cost the customers with extra charges.
8 Fiat Punto 90 HP Sport
To improve the sales, the Italian car giant Fiat launched the face-lift version of its hatchback Fiat Grande Punto in India, which didnt work much; and it led the car maker company to launch the limited edition of the vehicle, Fiat Punto 90 HP Sport.
In May 2012, Fiat unveiled this limited edition that were featured with black finished roof, red stitches highlighted on the dashboard, new blinging 17 inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, sporty metallic pedals, Punto branded door sill, chrome plated exhausted tip and chrome accented interiors.
However, these efforts didnt turn productive for the company and the sale didnt grew after the launch of this special edition.
