4. Name of book: Andy Grove
Author: Richard S.Tedlow
Year: 2006
What it’s about: Anyone’s bound to be inspired about Grove’s rise to glory--a man who survived the Jewish Holocaust of Hitler, and travelled to America to become Intel’s CEO at a point of time.
What’s great about it: The pauper-to-prince story of how Grove managed to work his way through gory times, college, and tough decisions such as when he and Gordon Moore drove Intel to retreat from the memory business and into the microprocessor-manufacturing business is a must-read for anyone on the tech scene. Grove grew to become one of the greatest statespersons of Silicon Valley and the reasons Intel became the world’s largest chip maker.
