Zepto Promotes Devendra Meel to Chief Business Officer
Quick commerce grocery delivery platform Zepto has elevated Devendra Meel to the position of Chief Business Officer, a role that he will take over from July 2024. In his new role, Meel will drive category management for brand partnerships with regard to ensuring optimal assortment, pricing, and availability with growth of all core categories on the platform.

Meel's promotion reflects Zepto's commitment to building internal talent and driving relentless innovation. The IIM-Bangalore graduate was leading special initiatives at Zomato and Jio before coming on board at Zepto.
"Devendra has executed like an entrepreneur and has treated Pass like his baby, relentlessly working 6-7 days a week with the Pass team to make the economics sustainable, brought the whole company together, to get Pass launched in record time", said Aadit Palicha, Co-Founder and CEO, Zepto.
Palicha also specially highlighted the integral role of Meel in scaling the Ad business of Zepto to hundreds of crores in revenues and building out Zepto Pass from an idea into a well-oversed 5 million plus subscribers.
Meel's elevation to the post of CBO seems to be aimed at strategic excellence in leadership and business growth for Zepto.
