WSO2 Inc., a prominent independent software vendor renowned for its open-source API management, integration, and identity and access management (IAM) products, has unveiled its latest expansion initiative with the inauguration of a new office in Bengaluru, India. Operating under the name 'WSO2 India (Private) Ltd.', this move underscores the company's strategic vision to augment its global service and support capabilities by establishing a robust presence in key markets.
Heading the India operations will be Alok Bardiya, Senior Vice President – Head of Corporate Development, tasked with spearheading the growth trajectory of WSO2 in the region. The expansion aims to complement WSO2's existing teams across Sri Lanka, Brazil, the USA, the UK, and the UAE, enhancing its ability to cater to the diverse needs of its global clientele.
Functioning as a central hub, the new India office will foster collaboration and synergy among WSO2's diverse teams. By promoting cross-functional cooperation, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices, the company seeks to leverage the collective expertise of its workforce, driving continuous improvement and delivering enhanced value to its customers. The local presence in India is anticipated to bolster partnerships with leading tech firms such as Tech Mahindra and LTI Mindtree, facilitating joint efforts to expand WSO2's customer base not only in India but also across the Asia Pacific region.
Ruwan Linton, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at WSO2, emphasized the strategic significance of India as a pivotal market for the company's global operations. He highlighted the relocation of a segment of WSO2's team to India as a strategic move aimed at bolstering the company's global presence and better serving its expanding customer base, particularly in India. With a substantial portion of WSO2's existing customers operating from various parts of India, the establishment of a local team is poised to significantly enhance customer service and support capabilities.
