Well who doesn’t know the Williams sisters. Serena Williams is on the third spot of the 10 world's highest paid female Olympians. She made $16.3 million out of which $ 5.3 million was prize money. Serena has already got two Olympic gold medals along with her sister Venus in doubles. She won her third gold at the Olympics by defeating Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1. She along with her sister won the gold even in the doubles event.

Throughout her career Serena has won $38 million in career prize money alone. This in itself is a record. She tops the women’s list of top prize earnings and comes in fourth among all the tennis players including men. She was ranked number one on five occasions by the WTA.
