Wipro Infrastructure Engineering Acquires US-Based Columbus Hydraulics

Wipro Hydraulics, a division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, has announced the acquisition of US-based Columbus Hydraulics to bolster its presence in the North American market. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
This acquisition sees Wipro Hydraulics taking full ownership of Columbus Hydraulics, which will now operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering. The move is part of Wipro’s strategy to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and market reach in North America.
Pratik Kumar, CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering and Managing Director of Wipro Enterprises, stated, “This acquisition significantly strengthens our position and boosts our manufacturing capabilities in North America. By integrating Columbus Hydraulics’ expertise in customized hydraulic solutions, we aim to offer more comprehensive solutions to our customers”.
Sitaram Ganeshan, President of Wipro Hydraulics, highlighted that this acquisition follows the recent purchase of Mailhot Industries, aimed at accelerating growth in the North American region. Ganeshan noted that the addition of Columbus Hydraulics will expand the company’s range of hydraulic solutions for various applications.
Columbus Hydraulics, headquartered in Nebraska, brings 150 skilled employees and a state-of-the-art facility spanning 120,000 square feet to Wipro’s operations. This acquisition marks Wipro’s fifth in the hydraulics sector and its fourteenth overall.
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, based in Bengaluru, is a diversified business specializing in hydraulics, industrial automation, aerospace, water treatment, and additive manufacturing.
