Bangalore: Has MS Dhoni forgotten those management lessons he had been praised for? India has pathetically given away its No.1 rank in Test Cricket to England after the latter had an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the best-of-four contest against India. The reasons behind India's walk back from the cricketing glory are many, varying from wrong management practices to leadership flops. Here is a short peep into those lessons that Team India forgot to put into practice.
Consistency
Consistency is crucial when you expect performance. In a management scenario, it's safe to assume that your team is motivated and have the right skills to achieve the set goals; however, the manager holds the responsibility of making them perform on a consistent basis as a team. Consistency is nothing but the ability to repeatedly hit your chosen target. This has been a quality that Team India has been lacking for a long time regardless of the different captains came and gone over the years. Indian team lacked the consistency the Australians had when they were the best in the world. The top players had often been criticized for their seasonal performance.
