The world’s greatest spinner concentrated a bit too much on his cricket that his mother worried that he would never get married. But all that was needed for this great to finally take his personal life seriously was a shoulder injury in August 2004 when he decided it was time he settled down and he found his perfect match in Madhi Ramamurthy.
In the spinner’s own words "We liked each other instantly and I knew she was the one for me."
Madhi was dressed in the traditional reddish-orange Kanjeevaram Saree and Muralitharan was dressed in a white mundu and white kurta. The couple looked happy and love in all their wedding pictures.
She wasn’t a cricket fan before her marriage but since her wedding to the greatest spin bowler the world ever saw she has become a diehard follower of cricket.
