Vedanta hires Sonal Shrivastava as CFO
Vedanta Ltd declared the appointment of Sonal Shrivastava as its chief financial officer (CFO), effective 1 June, 2023. Shrivastava provides over 26 years of financial leadership experience throughout various industries to the organization, combining from the Holcim Group where she served as CFO for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa operations, the mining major said in a statement.
Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal said her successful track record of delivering robust financial outcomes across multiple sectors makes her a valuable addition to the company.
‘’Her global experience and successful track record of delivering robust financial outcomes across sectors makes her a valuable addition. We are confident that she will play a vital role in the company’s future years,“ he added.
In her new role, Shrivastava will lead the group’s financial strategy, responsible for accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, financial planning and analytics, as well as driving digitalization and profitability.
Shrivastava said, “Vedanta has made remarkable strides and there are considerable prospects for further growth. I look forward to contributing to the company’s success by leveraging strategic and financial initiatives and working collaboratively to develop and implement strategies that accelerate performance and enhance value for all stakeholders."
