US Diplomacy Professionals to Mentor Ventures Led by Indian Women

Empowering women and girls to participate in India's economy will spur its prosperity; enrich its society; and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two nations

To help women-led, early-stage businesses, the United States has sent public diplomacy experts to India. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman noted in her speech at the US-India Alliance Shatter Summit that when women succeed, inclusion rises and discrimination falls. When women thrive, communities are more vigorous and economies are more resilient. In India, as much as anywhere else, women are essential for rapid and sustainable progress. Gender parity might boost India's GDP by 770 billion USD by 2025.

The US supports the development of digital skills among female entrepreneurs in South Asia and India so they can compete in the twenty-first century. They are assisting women who have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Empowering women and girls to work in the economy will boost India's wealth, improve its society, and strengthen the goodwill between the two nations.

This summit goes beyond simply symbolizing the commitment to equality and opportunity they will make to each other. Sherman describes it as one of the most significant U.S. diplomatic engagements in South and Central Asia, India, and the Middle East. The significance of women and girls in both the Case Western Reserve community and the Ukrainian American community.

The recent unveiling of the United States' first-ever Strategy of Global Women's Economic Security by Secretary of State Tony Blinken and representatives from the White House and USAID as a road map for funding female entrepreneurs, women-owned businesses, and start-ups, women and girls' training and education. The secretary joined American mayors this week to emphasize the significance of increasing chances for women's and minority-owned businesses since performing this work is crucial to prosperity in our cities, just as it is for India and other countries, according to the American ambassador.
