According to the India-centric American business group, the US business community is ready to contribute to India's ambitious plan to reach a USD 30 trillion economy. India is on a quest to reclaim the top spot in the global leadership tables in terms of GDP and wealth. Atul Keshap, head of USIBC is expecting India to be one of the biggest economies in the world with a potential to grow to a USD 30 trillion economy.

According to Keshap, many USIBC members and American businesses are supportive of this motive. India is on a mission to reclaim the top spot in the global wealth and economic leadership rankings. In the past, India was responsible for up to 25 per cent of global GDP. In addition to believing it to be a possibility, he also said that American companies are eager and prepared to accompany India on its arduous journey.

Therefore, he stated that building an ecosystem of high trust is vital. The business community wants to embrace the notion that India will become a developed country in 2047, as indicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech.

India is quickly rising to the top of the service world. There is a huge amount of trade between the US and India in the digital economy. Keshap estimates that although trade between America and India exceeds USD 100 billion yearly, only about USD 150 billion worth of trade occurs.
