UKIBC Hosts Tech Meet to Boost UK-India Innovation

The UK India Business Council (UKIBC) hosted its 3rd Annual Technology Conference in New Delhi, bringing together leaders from government, industry, and academia to explore the future of technology in shaping trade, innovation, and growth.
The event featured British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron and Ajit Kumar, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, along with senior executives from leading UK and Indian companies. This year’s theme, ‘UK-India Tech Ventures: A Partnership Transcending Boundaries,’ focused on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, fintech, clean technology, and digital infrastructure.
During the conference, UKIBC launched a sectoral report titled ‘UK-India Tech Ventures Partnership Transcending Boundaries’.The report showcased successful technology collaborations between the two nations. A document outlining opportunities under the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) was also released.
Lindy Cameron highlighted the role of technology and innovation in the UK-India Vision 2035 and emphasized the importance of the new Technology Security Initiative. Ajit Kumar shared the Indian government’s vision of a tech driven economy under Viksit Bharat 2047.

Richard Heald OBE, Chair of UKIBC, said the conference reaffirmed the strength of the UK-India technology corridor. “Our platform enables leaders to exchange ideas, identify solutions, and unlock opportunities for companies in both countries,” he noted.
UKIBC continues to support businesses and universities in exploring opportunities across both markets, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and drive global impact.
