Top Cabinet Ministers Are Way Poorer Than Their Rich Wives

Bangalore: There has been an increase in the wealth of many ministers this year compared to their disclosures in previous financial term. In certain cases the wives of the Ministers are said to possess more assets than them, reports Himanshi Dhawan of TNN.

A Total of 19 Ministers have submitted their assets and liability details to the prime minister and have about six more months left to submit their 2012-2013 financial details, as it’s mandatory every financial year. The cabinet members have not yet made their assets public, only a few ministers who have provided their details to the public are AK Antony, Chidambaram, Pawar, Moily, Kumari Selja, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Anand Sharma, Jairam Ramesh, Oscar Fernandes and Dinsha Patel.

Finance Minister Chidambaram’s wife possesses assets worth 19.48 crore, which is comparatively higher than Chidambaram’s Rs 12.70crore.

Union agriculture minister Pawar’s wife has earnings of Rs 13.46 crore, a jump from previous year’s 4.70crore. Pawar is having earnings of Rs 8.75crore which is lesser than his wife’s earnings.
