Gold Monetization Scheme
A circular for the implementation of the Gold Monetization Scheme was launched ahead of Dhanteras this year. This scheme replaced the Gold Deposit Scheme of 1999. Based on the appreciation of the metal value and weight, deposited gold will earn interest under this scheme.  The scheme will monetize 60 lakh cr worth of gold.
