Tata Communications Q4 Net Loss Widens to

New Delhi: Tata Communications reported consolidated net loss of Rs 260.94 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.
The company had posted net loss of 
156.51 crore in the same period last year, Tata Communications said in a filing to the BSE.
On standalone basis, the company posted 51.76 per cent rise in net profit at 38.2 crore for Q4, as against 25.17 crore in the same period last year.
Consolidated income from operations, however, increased in Q4 to 3,961.28 crore, from 3,068.83 crore for the same quarter in the 2010-11 fiscal, the company said.
It has posted net loss of 794.65 crore for 2011-12, as compared to 776.9 crore in the previous fiscal.
Income from operations in 2011-12 was 14,196.05 crore from 11,931.99 crore for the preceding fiscal.
The board of directors recommended a dividend of 2 per share for the financial year 2011-12, Tata Comm said.
Shares of the company were trading 0.89 per cent higher at 204.75 on the BSE in the morning trade.
