Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), operated by the Adani Group, has been ranked number one in passenger satisfaction and overall passenger experience in the latest Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey conducted by Airports Council International (ACI) for Q2 2025.
The airport, which falls under the 5–15 million passengers per annum (MPPA) category, earned a perfect score of 5 out of 5 maintaining its top rating from the first quarter of 2025. The ASQ survey is a globally recognised benchmark that captures direct passenger feedback across key touchpoints such as check-in, security, cleanliness, staff behaviour, ease of navigation, and overall ambience.
SVPIA stood out not only for operational efficiency but also for creating an emotionally satisfying journey for travellers. The survey results showed a significant 'emotional score', indicating that passengers left the airport with a positive impression of their experience.
Travellers praised the airport’s well-organized check-in counters, minimal waiting times, courteous staff, clean seating areas, and smooth security procedures.
This recognition underscores Adani Airports’ commitment to transforming Indian airports into world-class, passenger-centric hubs. SVPIA has made major investments in infrastructure development, digital technology adoption, and staff training to enhance service quality.
Handling 13.3 million passengers and nearly 280 flights daily in FY 2024–25, SVPIA is Gujarat’s busiest airport. It also manages over 100,000 metric tons of cargo annually.
SVPIA’s accolades include India’s first 5S Certification from JUSE and QCFI, Level 4 accreditation from ACI, and the Zero Waste to Landfill certification from the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development.
The latest ACI ranking places SVPIA among the top airports globally, reinforcing its position as a benchmark for passenger excellence in the Asia-Pacific region.
