During the combined military exercise, a senior US army general played lead guitar while the troops on both sides played musical instruments. Notably, Yudh Abhayas 2022, a combined military exercise between the Indian and American troops, concluded on December 2.

The US Army Pacific referred to India as an important strategic ally of the US in a tweet from December 3rd. India is a vital strategic partner of the U.S. The defense relationship is a key component and one of the major pillars of the bilateral partnership. The US Embassy in India tweeted, congratulating the Indian Army on successfully finishing the 18th iteration of #YudhAbhyas.

The Additional Directorate General of Public Information, IHQ of MoD, stated in a tweet on December 2 that “Till We Meet Again” marked the conclusion of the joint exercise between the Indian and US Armies, YudhAbhyas 2022. Greater coordination and interoperability between the two Armies in peacekeeping and disaster relief operations were the outcomes of the exercise. Indian Army personnel from the ASSAM Regiment and US Army soldiers from the 2nd Brigade of the 11th Airborne Division took part in the drill.

According to the Ministry of Defence's announcement, the combined military exercise covers all actions about maintaining and enforcing the peace. The previous joint military drill between the US and India occurred at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in the US state of Alaska in October 2021.
