Studio 145's Vione Signature Celebration: A Venue of Scale and Splendor Beside Delhi's Akshardham
At the edge of Delhi’s Akshardham precinct, known for its spiritual gravity, a striking new destination has taken shape. The Vione Signature Celebration, designed and executed by Studio 145, is a 45,000-square-foot venue that brings cultural grandeur and modern hospitality into rare alignment.
Inside the Architecture
The project comprises two halls and a landscaped frontage. The first, a 13,500-square-foot banquet, was conceived for luxury gatherings with an intimate scale. The second, at 23,000 square feet, was built to host larger celebrations without losing clarity of design. A central lobby and an expansive landscaped approach establish the sense of a destination from the moment of arrival. “Every element had to work harder here,” says Faisal Shareef Khan, co-founder of Studio 145. “The location demanded a balance between grandeur for the setting and the delivery of a contemporary experience.”
Working in the Shadow of Akshardham
Building adjacent to a site of such cultural weight like that of the Akshardham Temple, was a challenge in itself. For Jai Mangal Kumar, the studio’s co-founder, this required a deliberate design philosophy. “The Vione Signature Celebration venue was one of our significant projects due to its proximity to the Akshardham Temple,” he explains. “It was about creating a space that functioned with modern precision, while fitting well within its context.”
Engineering the Experience
The halls were planned as multi-functional, with infrastructure that allows quick adaptation, from weddings and cocktails to corporate summits and festivals. Advanced lighting and acoustic systems were integrated early in the design process to ensure the venue could accommodate diverse events without compromise. The entire project, from conceptualization to completion, was delivered in just four months.
Redefining Venue Design
The Vione Celebration Venue signals a shift in expectations for large-scale venues. It demonstrates how destinations can combine utility and luxury without sacrificing either. For clients, it represents a luxury venue with flexibility and long-term value. For the industry, it sets a benchmark for delivering high-stakes projects under demanding timelines.
“Akshardham showed us what is possible when design, technology, and discipline align,” Faisal reflects. “It is proof that architecture can carry both tradition and modernity without conflict.”
