Start In-House Weekly Training For Employees: Government Tells Secretaries

NEW DELHI: With Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasising on providing regular training to government employees, the Centre has asked all secretaries to start in-house weekly training for employees working under them.

The Department of Personnel and Training has sought an action taken report from them, for appraising the Prime Minister's Office, in case the training has already been initiated by them.

Citing importance of Knowledge, Skill and Attitude in employees for citizen-centric governance, the DoPT had in October last year directed all ministries to hold in-house weekly training "immediately" to help them perform their work efficiently.

"All ministries or departments are again requested to start hourly in-house weekly training and to inform the action taken to this department for apprising the PMO," an order issued by the DoPT said.
