Driving fast is never recommended by anyone. But what can you do if that is your sport. The Brazilian diver, Felipe Massa was yet another victim of a racing track accident. In fact he was lucky enough to escape death on 25th July 2009 when at the Hungarian Grand Prix, he was hit on the helmet by a suspension spring that had fallen from Rubens Barrichello's Brawn on the high speed part of the track. Because of this Massa lost control and crashed right into a tyre barrier. He had to be air lifted from the track and rushed for surgery in the area which surrounded his left eye. At the hospital the doctors described his situation as "life-threatening but stable". In order to return to racing he had to get a titanium plate inserted into his skull to that it would be strong for racing. Form then he was on the path to recovery and on 10th October 2009 he was made to take neurological examinations in Paris. After the successful completion of the test it was announced that he could return to the circuit and he made his comeback in 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix where he fisnihed second behind his team mate Alonso.
