Significance of iCET Initiatives

With the Indian Prime Minister’s visit scheduled on 22nd June 2023, Atul Keshap, the president of the US-India business council, underlines the objective of the iCET initiative.                     

The US-India Business Council president Atul Keshap emphasized the role-play of both nations for a strategic, economic, and technological convergence. Referring to the ties as indispensable factors, both countries are increasing their cooperation to develop future technologies of the 21st century.

Mr. Keshap stated that the US-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) holds crucial significance much like the nuclear deal. Commemorating the excellency of the partnership between both nations, he stated that nations have come far from handling difficult relationships in the past 25 years, emerging as partners in the Quad.

With a crucial aim to bring industrial convergence, both India and US are planning to develop and establish a deep future tech for the prosperity of individuals globally. Prime Minister’s visit to the US State will be based on a pivotal agenda for a shared perspective across the Indo-Pacific and to nurture the ties between the US-India.

Scheduled for a four-day visit and attending state dinner on June 22nd, it will mark the third visit of an Indian leader, post President Radhakrishnan in 1963 and Dr. Manmohan Singh in 2009. The United States maintains diplomacy during state visits for its closest acquaintances. Both countries have learned critical lessons in the post-pandemic, and thus, contain a secure and stable security chain on the deep and future tech.
