Indian American executive Ravi Ahuja has been named the next CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment (NYSE: SONY) who is set to take over on January 2, 2025. Ahuja, who currently holds the position of chief operating officer, brings decades of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Since joining Sony Pictures in 2021, he has overseen global operations and led the company's television studios, including its business in India.
Throughout his career, Ahuja has held senior roles at some of the largest media companies. At Walt Disney Television, he led the integration of Disney/ABC Television and Fox Networks, managing complex transactions and consolidating diverse business units following Disney's acquisition of Fox in 2019.
