Rahi extends support to its employees; Introduces several initiatives to ensure their wellbeing

Rahi, a leading global integrated IT enterprise solutions provider announced that its support to employees who have succumbed to COVID-19. The company has launched a slew of measures to protect the next of kin of those employees who have lost their lives by providing 12 months of full pay to immediate members of the bereaved family with 2 years of medical insurance. 

Further, a Covid medical information helpline has been set up, which has dedicated family physicians, pediatricians, ophthalmologists, and pathologists for employees who need urgent consultation. This Covid helpline also provides regular updates on available beds, oxygen cylinders, along with door-to-door provision of medical equipment and support to the employees’ families. Besides, for those who have been impacted health wise, Rahi is offering special COVID-19 allowances to its employees such as: additional leaves/option to avail leaves in advance, which are fully paid by the company. The HR team has brought on board renowned psychologists to take forward a wellness program for employees who are facing mental health issues. Counselling sessions will be a major part of this program. Employees can even take off to rejuvenate and relax as the pandemic has taken a serious toll on people’s mental health.  

The company is providing recovery and caregiving support to affected employees whereby, they can take a complete break from work and focus on their health or be a caregiver. They can even take a break if any of their family members have been infected and need medical attention. The company is also planning to launch a comprehensive vaccination drive for its employees and their family members. 

Speaking on special initiatives undertaken by the company, Vijay Gupta, Director - Global Human Resources at Rahi said, “Globally, humanity is fighting an unknown enemy in the virus. It is at times such as these, when the world is faced with unprecedented tragedy, that people come together and work for greater good. In fact, most organizations laid out a well thought through strategy to support employees during these trying situations. At Rahi, we believe our employees are part of a large family, so we devised initiatives that would help our people overcome the negative impact of COVID- 19. We hope to soften the blow of losing a breadwinner by supporting bereaved families, caring for everyone’s physical and mental health, and giving time off to grieve or be a caregiver.”
