President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar have extended warm greetings to citizens and followers of Lord Buddha across the globe on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima.
In her message, President Murmu said the timeless message of non-violence, love, and kindness by Bhagwan Buddha, who epitomizes compassion, serves as a guiding principle for the welfare of humanity. She emphasized that Lord Buddha’s ideals reinforce faith in the eternal values of equality, harmony, and social justice. The President noted that his teachings inspire individuals to lead a life rooted in morality and urged citizens to imbibe these ideals to contribute towards building a peaceful, harmonious, and developed nation.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also conveyed his greetings on the sacred day that commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha. He remarked that Lord Buddha’s profound wisdom continues to act as a guiding light, especially in times of uncertainty. Highlighting the enduring relevance of Buddha’s message of non-violence, kindness, and the middle path, the Vice President said these teachings are vital not only for personal transformation but also for fostering a compassionate and harmonious society.
