PM Modi Unveils Rs 56,000 Crore Development Boost in Telangana
In a significant development push, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for over 30 development projects valued at Rs 56,000 crore in Adilabad, Telangana. The projects encompassed sectors such as electricity, environment, and roadways, with a focus on modern infrastructure. The event, attended by State Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, saw the inauguration of two new national highways in Adilabad, Bela, and Mulugu.
During the ceremony, PM Modi expressed optimism about these initiatives, stating that they would script a new chapter of development in several states. Emphasizing the significance of road and rail infrastructures in Telangana's progress, he highlighted their role in fostering growth.
Additionally, the Prime Minister dedicated the 660 MW (Unit-2) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra, Jharkhand. This project stands out as the country's first supercritical thermal power project with an air-cooled condenser, significantly reducing water consumption compared to conventional water-cooled condensers.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lauded PM Modi as a supportive figure, likening him to a big brother. Reddy expressed his aspiration to model Telangana's development after the successful Gujarat model, Modi's home state. He endorsed the Prime Minister's vision to propel India into a $5 trillion economy.
PM Modi's visit extends beyond Telangana, with plans to tour 12 states in 10 days. His upcoming visit to Sangareddy on March 5 will witness the launch and foundation laying for development projects worth Rs 6,800 crore. Additionally, in Chandikhole, Odisha, on the same day, the Prime Minister is slated to announce developmental projects worth Rs 19,600 crore, further underscoring the government's commitment to fostering growth and infrastructure development across the nation.
