PM Modi Unveils 112 National Highway Projects
In the midst of a dynamic nationwide tour spanning 12 states in just 10 days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Haryana's Gurugram to unveil and lay the foundation stone for an impressive array of 112 National Highway projects, collectively valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh crore.
A significant highlight of the Prime Minister's agenda is the inauguration of the Haryana section of the transformative Dwarka Expressway, aimed at ameliorating traffic flow and alleviating congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48. This 19-km-long, 8-lane expressway, constructed at a cost of Rs 4,100 crore, encompasses two vital packages: the 10.2 km-long stretch from Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7 km-long Basai ROB to Kherki Daula section. The expressway is poised to facilitate direct connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass.
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate a multitude of other significant projects during his visit, including the 9.6 km-long six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Package 3 in Delhi, Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, Anandapuram - Pendurthi - Anakapalli section of NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, Kiratpur to Nerchowk section of NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, and Dobaspet - Heskote section in Karnataka, among others. These projects, collectively valued at Rs 20,500 crores, are poised to contribute significantly to the enhancement of the National Highway network and bolster socio-economic growth, job opportunities, and trade and commerce in various regions across the country.
In addition to inaugurating these projects, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for several other ambitious National Highway endeavors across the nation. Notable among these are the Bengaluru - Kadappa - Vijayawada Expressway in Andhra Pradesh, Belgaum - Hungund - Raichur Section of NH-748A in Karnataka, Shamli - Ambala Highway in Haryana, and Amritsar - Bathinda corridor in Punjab, among others. With an aggregate value of Rs 32,700 crores, these projects are expected to play a pivotal role in fostering national connectivity, socio-economic progress, and the overall development of the country. The Prime Minister's visit underscores the government's commitment to infrastructure development and its impact on the broader aspects of the nation's growth.
