Organon India Announces Vivek Soares as New Country Lead for India and South Asia
Organon India has announced the appointment of Vivek Soares as its new Country Lead for India and South Asia, effective today. Soares succeeds Anjan Sen, who is retiring after a distinguished 35-year career in the biopharmaceutical sector, including 11 years with MSD and Organon. Sen has been instrumental in establishing Organon’s operations in India and neighboring South Asian markets, creating a robust commercial organization and business plan to drive long-term growth in the region.
Vivek Soares joins Organon India with over two decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He has held several leadership positions at both country and regional levels, successfully leading diverse teams across various markets. His expertise in developing and executing strategic initiatives has consistently resulted in increased sales and profitability while enhancing future capabilities.
Prior to this appointment, Soares served as the Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead for Organon Thailand. His extensive background includes roles such as Director of the Fertility Business Unit in Asia Pacific, Head of Tender & Key Account in Vietnam, and Senior Marketing Manager for Women’s Health covering India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
Andreas Daugaard Jorgensen, Managing Director of Organon Asia Pacific, expressed his enthusiasm about Soares’s new role: "I am thrilled to have Vivek on board as the new Country Lead for India and South Asia, and as a member of the Organon Asia Pacific leadership team. Organon’s markets across Asia Pacific are home to over one-quarter of the world’s female population, and Vivek’s extensive experience in supporting the health of women across this region provides a strong foundation to also drive growth and success in India".
Commenting on his appointment, Soares stated, "I’m excited to join Organon as the company embarks on its next exciting chapter and extend my gratitude to Anjan Sen, who has been pivotal in setting up Organon’s operations in India and the neighboring markets in South Asia. I’m looking forward to working with our partners and healthcare professionals to deliver on Organon’s mission to create a healthier future for every woman, every day".
This leadership transition marks a significant step for Organon India as it continues to focus on enhancing women’s health and driving sustainable growth in the region.
