Mumbaikars Rank High In Protein Intake Than Rest: Survey
BANGALORE: From a survey conducted we came to know that a typical Indian meal which constitutes all the variety dishes from a starter to dessert doesn’t serve us with the required amount of proteins, reports TOI.
The Protein Consumption in the Diet of Adult Indians Survey which was conducted in various cities gave the report after they inspected 1260 Indians from which 9 out of 10’s daily consumption of proteins is not adequate. The survey further states that 91 percent of vegetarians and 85 percent of non-vegetarians were deficient of the protein quantity that a healthy body should have.
Around 88 percent of the individuals who participated in the survey had a huge gap in the protein requirement and protein intake. The survey further added that Mumbaikars had the lowest protein gap marking them as the healthy quotients and Delhi has a huge gap which makes them deficient’s.
Proteins should be the front of your food consumption as these are the components which let you go around with energy, adding muscles, heal injuries and reduce hair fall.
For every kg of body weight one should have 0.8 gm of protein as recommended by American Diabetes Association.
So pump up your protein intake if any of you have the problem with the above specified protein uses, to increase protein intake add meat, poultry, fish, peas, tofu, eggs, grains, milk and milk products to your daily diet.
