Mumbai Students To Feature Underwater Robot At U.S. Meet
BANGALORE: It would be dream come true for anyone if your creativity gets recognition at the international level and that is what has happened for a team of engineering students from the Mukesh Patel School of Management and Engineering. This set of engineering students is all set to compete at an international technology innovation event and feature their state-of-the-art remote-controlled underwater robot; the event is to be held in the U.S. as reported by The American Bazaar.
A team of students from Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, who created this innovative robotic vehicle, is the lone team from India selected to take part for the 13th Annual Marine Advanced Technology Education ROV International Competition at Alpena, in Michigan. The event is scheduled to be held in U.S. from June 26-28.
This fortunate team from India, which calls itself “Team Screwdriver,” has constructed a unique remote-operated underwater vehicle that is equipped with separately controlled robotic arm, as well as a camera to capture photo and video footage. This creation is apparently meant to be used for capturing biological samples underwater, specifically related to shipwrecks or other accidents underwater.
