MP Receives Over
5.5-Lakh Crore Investment Proposals
INDORE: During the two-day Global Investors' Summit, which concluded here on Sunday, investment proposals worth over
5.5 lakh crore were received, said Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The Chief Minister said: "We have received 2,630 investment proposals and the companies have expressed their interest to invest a total of
5,62,847 in Madhya Pradesh."
According to the proposals received by the state government, Aditya Birla Group would invest
20,000 crore in various areas, Sintex Ltd
2,000 crore, Proctor & Gamble
1,100 crore and Mylan Labs has proposed
700-crore investment.
According to informed sources, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas would install power generation units of 2,700MW capacity at an estimated cost of
20,700 crore. This includes the Indian Oil Corporation's investment proposal of
4,760 crore.
In addition, Lupin India has proposed Rs 380-crore investment, Essar Group Rs 4,500 crore, Hettich India
400 crore, ITC Ltd
600 crore, Mayur Uniquoters Ltd
200 crore, Ajanta Pharma
400 crore, Vardhman
780 crore and Sagar Manufacturing has proposed
965-crore investment, among others.
Speaking at the Summit, Chouhan announced that the next Global Investors' Summit would be held in the state in February 2019.
