Markets open on a positive note on Wednesday morning

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note. The Sensex of the BSE opened at 37,892.36 points and touch a high of 38,032.65 points. The Sensex touched a low of 37,889.59 points.

On Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 37,697.91 points.

The Sensex is trading at 38,006.33 points up by 318.42 points or 0.84 per cent.

On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 11,155.75 points after closing at 11,095.25 points.

The Nifty is trading at 11,182.15 points in the morning.

The Nifty Financial Services index was up with its components trading higher in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 4.08 per cent), Axis Bank NSE 3.89 % (up 3.37 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (up 2.69 per cent), Bajaj Finance NSE 2.40 % (up 2.6 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 2.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.
