Manish Gupta Ascends as Dell India's MD Amid AI-Focused Expansion Drive

Dell Technologies has announced the appointment of Manish Gupta as President and Managing Director for India, effective immediately. The leadership transition comes on the heels of the company’s flagship event, Dell Tech World, held last month, where a range of AI-powered software and hardware solutions were unveiled.
Gupta succeeds Alok Ohrie, who is stepping down to spend more time with family and pursue personal interests. Gupta will be based in Bengaluru and report to Peter Marrs, President of Asia Pacific Japan & Greater China (APJC), Dell Technologies.
Welcoming Gupta to his new role, Marrs said, “I am excited to have Manish leading Dell in India. His exceptional blend of technical expertise, deep market understanding, and visionary leadership will be instrumental in driving growth and innovation. Manish’s focus on customer success, partner collaboration, and talent development will strengthen Dell’s leadership in the industry”.
Gupta brings over 25 years of experience in the IT sector, including more than a decade in leadership roles within Dell Technologies. Most recently, he led global alliances, channel engagement, and strategy development for the APJC region. He has also served as Vice President of the Infrastructure Solutions Group in India, playing a key role in the company's expansion in the region.

Gupta holds an MBA from IIM Lucknow and a Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University. He is also a Fulbright-Nehru Fellow in Leadership in Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
Dell Technologies continues to focus on driving innovation and growth across emerging markets, with India remaining a pivotal part of its regional strategy.
