L&T Technology Services Secures Rs 800 Crore Cybersecurity Program in Maharashtra
L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) has clinched a groundbreaking cybersecurity program worth approximately $100 million from the Maharashtra state cyber department. This initiative marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind in India, underscoring LTTS's prowess in the cybersecurity domain. The program entails the establishment of an AI and ML-driven cybersecurity and digital threat analytics center, aimed at bolstering citizen cyber safety and awareness across the state.
Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS, expressed enthusiasm about leveraging their extensive experience in setting up over 25 command centers to address the escalating importance of cybersecurity. Chadha emphasized the need to invest in advanced digital safeguard platforms and tools to benefit society at large.
In collaboration with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services, LTTS will spearhead the delivery of advanced cybersecurity solutions for the state. The consortium's efforts will include establishing a central emergency response team (CERT) tasked with managing incident response and investigation, leveraging advanced cyber threat intelligence and analytics.
Yezdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG in India, highlighted the significance of partnering with the Maharashtra state cyber department and LTTS as a forensic services provider, emphasizing their joint commitment to public safety. LTTS, a listed subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, boasts an impressive customer base, including 69 'Fortune 500' companies and 57 of the world's leading engineering research and development (ER&D) firms.
This collaborative endeavor underscores the collective dedication of LTTS, KPMG, and the Maharashtra state cyber department to combatting cyber threats and advancing cybersecurity measures for the benefit of the wider community.
