L&T Secures Government Contracts Worth up to Rs 5,000 Crore in Delhi and Andhra Pradesh

The construction and engineering behemoth Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won big government orders under its Buildings & Factories division, with orders secured in Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi. The total value of the orders lies in L&T's 'large' category, which is between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.
L&T has won in Delhi an EPC order from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for the construction of Common Central Secretariat buildings 6 and 7. Both buildings will have a basement, two podium levels, an upper ground floor, and six more floors. The work range includes civil structures, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, external development, and five years of operations and maintenance.
In addition to this, the company has secured a design-and-build order from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to build the new State Legislative Assembly complex. The contract involves building a building with a basement, a ground floor, and three more floors. Both the infrastructure projects are to be completed within 18 months.
These fresh contracts further consolidate L&T's order book, which was at Rs 5.79 trillion as of March 31, 2025 a 22% year-on-year growth, with international orders accounting for 46% of the total.
The move comes on the heels of the company posting strong financials in Q4 FY25, including a 25% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 5,497.3 crore and a 10.9% year-on-year growth in revenue to Rs 74,392.28 crore. Net profit in the year ended March 2025 increased by 15.1% to Rs 15,037 crore.
L&T board has also suggested a final dividend of Rs 34 per equity share. L&T shares were trading lower by 0.43% at Rs 3,571.25 at 1:13 pm, while the Sensex was lower by 1.47% at 81,218.45 points.
