Logicknots partners with NSDC and IIT to boost Semiconductor Education
Logicknots, a software startup, announced a collaboration with the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) and the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati to enhance semiconductor design and verification education. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Electronics, and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar, according to a statement released.
As per the statement, the collaboration aims to introduce online courses aimed at training future semiconductor design engineers in the country. With the global semiconductor market projected to exceed USD one trillion by 2030, Logicknots' endeavor pledges to address the significant skills shortage within the industry.
Logicknots' Founder Hemant Vats said, "Our collaboration is set to redefine semiconductor education, making it more accessible and aligned with industry needs, thereby contributing to India's positioning as a semiconductor powerhouse". Logicknots' Co-Founder Rohit Karajgi stated that this partnership marks a pivotal moment for semiconductor education in India.
The courses will be available on the NSDC's platform, ensuring accessibility for aspiring engineers across the nation, including those in underserved areas. This initiative resonates with India's aspirations to emerge as a significant player in the global semiconductor arena, fostering national self-reliance and innovation in the electronics and semiconductor sectors.
