# Adult Movies

Nudity and explicitly sexual scenes in Indian Cinema have always been a big no-no for the Censor Board as well as Political parties and activists.

Shekhar Kapoor’s Bandit Queen, Deepa Mehta’s Fire and Mira Nair’s Kamasutra are some of the movies which were banned in India. The Censor board condemned the violence and explicit sexual content in these movies. The Board made a decision that these movies can’t be viewed even with an Adult certification.

Recently released ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan was banned in India because of the intense sex content in the film.

# Public Smoking

Smoking in public places was prohibited nationwide with a strict legislation India from 2 October 2008. There are approximately 120 million smokers in India.

 According to the World Health Organization (WHO), India is home to 12 percent of the world’s smokers. Approximately 900,000 people die every year in India due to smoking as of 2009.
