Kia India has announced a major price cut across its internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle lineup, following the government’s recent decision to reduce Goods and Services Tax (GST) on passenger vehicles. The revised prices will be effective from September 22, 2025, just in time for the festive season, making Kia cars more affordable for buyers.
Sharing his views on the development, Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the company welcomes the government’s reform to lower GST on vehicles. He described it as a 'progressive and timely decision' that will not only make car ownership more accessible for customers but also give a strong push to the overall growth of the Indian automotive sector.
“We are proud to pass on the complete benefit of the GST rate cut directly to our customers, ensuring affordability and accessibility”, Mr. Lee stated. He added that this move simplifies the taxation structure while showing the government’s commitment to sustainable economic growth and modern mobility solutions.
Industry experts believe this step will encourage consumer spending and improve market sentiment. With prices now lower, Kia expects strong demand for its models during the festive period, driving momentum for the auto industry.
