KE Conducted a Day-long Programme to Up-skill Entrepreneurs
One day long programme was conducted by Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE), a not-for-profit mutual-benefit networking organisation with aim of encourage entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs
The programme titled, 'Entrepreneurship Development Programme' or 'EDP' was attended by more than 75 entrepreneurs and focused on up-skilling through various topics including - building a great team, digital marketing, finance for entrepreneurs & leaders, art of selling and raising funds for the business.
Luvena Rangel, KE member, who was an host for the event started with a prayer and welcomed the participants. Charles Gomes, KE Bangalore chapter founder-president and CEO CAD Pharma, was the keynote speaker. He stated that, passion and courage are the two must-haves for anyone to be successful in entrepreneurship. While other aspects of business including a business idea, business plan and execution are also important.
Other speakers who imparted their knowledge include Kiran Veigas - GM & head - corporate marketing & communications - Happiest Minds, Rohit Fernandes, co-founder & CEO, Brands of Bharat, CA Jasmine Pinto, co-founder & partner at Finzcurve, Sunil Attavar, chairman & MD, Group Pharmaceuticals and Pramod D’Souza, co-founder, Eagle10 Ventures.
The EDP program focused on building great teams, with focusing on digital marketing, importance of finance for entrepreneurs for management level key decisions, raising capital from investors through equity route or through debt and the art of selling.
Claudius Pereira, president of KE Bangalore chapter summarized all the learning and takeaways with pertinent stories narrating the importance of action when opportunities are clearly visible and up for grabs
 Dr Shruti Srinivasan, professor of entrepreneurship at Christ University, attended the programme along with a few students who are aiming to become as entrepreneurs,hoping for more collaboration with industry connection.
Eugene Mathias, KE lead member delivered the vote of thanks and acknowledged the KE board for organising the programme as part of its mentoring initiative.
