KCCI, GCCI Partner to Boost Dakshina Kannada and Goa Businesses
The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) have solidified their commitment to collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to bolster mutual cooperation and achieve common objectives effectively.
Established in 1940, KCCI focuses on fostering the growth of the Dakshina Kannada region while serving the trade and industry within it. Similarly, GCCI, founded in 1908, serves as an apex body representing trade and industry in Goa, with a primary mission to safeguard and promote the interests of the Goan trade and industry sector.
The MoU outlines several areas of collaboration, including promoting cooperation between business entities and economic, commercial, and financial institutions in both regions for mutual benefit. Both chambers have agreed to develop robust institutional, trade, and business relations and establish sustainable mechanisms for dialogue and discussions.
Additionally, the agreement emphasizes supporting and nurturing cooperation between enterprises, facilitating trade, joint ventures, industrial cooperation, technology transfer, and other forms of business collaboration.
As part of the MoU, KCCI has committed to providing technical expertise and advisory support to GCCI in establishing an Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre within GCCI’s premises. This initiative aims to enhance commercial harmony among stakeholders by fostering efficient dispute resolution mechanisms.
The MoU was signed by Ananthesh V Prabhu, President of KCCI, and Shrinivas V Dempo, President of GCCI, in Mangaluru, underscoring the commitment of both chambers to fostering stronger ties and facilitating mutual growth and development in their respective regions.
