Jupiter Electric Mobility Partners with Porter for Udaan Programme
Jupiter Electric Mobility announced a strategic partnership with logistics operator Porter for its Udaan program. This program is dedicated to enabling local entrepreneurs and drivers in the electric logistics domain. The program will focus on providing professional training, access to electric vehicle resources and guidance through Jupiter's dealership network, which is needed to set up and scale businesses.
As part of its collaboration, the company will, through Jupiter Electric Mobility, accompany drivers and owners of small businesses while purchasing its flagship commercial electric vehicle, Tez. A partnership also caters to assisting in the acquisition of drivers through these vehicles' onboarding: tools to support scaling operations while increasing earnings - all towards improving the sustainability profile of the logistics ecosystem.
Tanuj Khandelwal, Vice President of Porter said, "This partnership represents our joint commitment to sustainability and supporting entrepreneurship in logistics". Porter has 7.5 lakh drivers across 22 cities, and the firm is working to create more entrepreneurship opportunities while ensuring a greener future in logistics.
